Animated graphics normally mean learning After Effects or paying someone per video. Here you do not drag anything on a timeline: you give Claude your video and a transcript, say what you want on screen, and it writes the animation as code, checks it, and renders a finished file. Two free tools make that possible — Motion Graphics, a set of skills for Claude Code by Barty-Bart, and Three.js, the 3D engine that gives the graphics depth and a moving camera. The guide installs both, gives you the prompt to paste, and walks through the look-correct-render loop. It is honest about the result: your first edit will be simpler than the ones in the Reel.
What's inside
- What you need first: a Mac, Claude Code on a paid plan, your video and an .srt transcript
- Every install line in order — the three helpers, the skills repo, then Three.js
- The full prompt to paste, with the two brackets to fill in
- It shows still frames before rendering — two or three rounds of fixes is normal
