Left alone, Claude Code does whatever you typed — it will skip the plan, forget the tests, and review its own work carrying the same blind spots it started with. ECC replaces that with a coordinated engineering system: dozens of specialist agents for planning, review, architecture and security, and hundreds of pre-built workflows they draw on. The loop it enforces is plan, test, implement, review, verify, remember — it writes a plan and waits for your approval, writes the failing test first, then re-checks the finished code in a separate fresh pass. Free, MIT-licensed, and it stays out of the way until you ask for it.
